Whats the
biggest size postcard I can have for $.26 First Class
Postage?
The largest size is
4-1/4 x 6 inches. The smallest size would be 3-1/2
x 5 inches. You may have other sizes between these
measurements, but they must fall within the Post
Office's Aspect Ratio. Anything that falls out of
the Aspect Ratio is subject to a Postage penalty.
Refer to the image below (you can also download it
and use it as a template).

Above is a postcard template to use for
the back of a 4-1/4" x 6" postcard. This is
the maximum size for the $.26 postcard rate. By following
these specifications, you can qualify for maximum "Automation" postal
discounts. For larger size postcards the following specifications
should be followed:
Length
does not exceed 11 1/2"
Height
does not exceed 6 1/8"

Aspect
ratio (length/height) does not fall between 1 to
1.3 and 1 to 2.5, inclusively
If I want to
get Automation Postal Discounts, how much room
do I need to leave for the address block and bar
code?
The address space
should be a minimum of 2 inches in height and 4
inches in length. You must leave a minimum of 3
3/4 inches for the bar code.

Do I need to
have my own permit account at the Post Office?
No. If you are using
PrintComm Partners and are sending your mailings
1st Class, 1st Class Presort, Standard Mail or
4th Class Mail, you may use our Permit Account
number. For 2nd Class Mail (Periodicals), you must
have your own permit account with the Post Office.
The
indicia ( in-DEE-shuh) must be placed in the
upper righthand corner when printing your mailpiece.
The indicia may be any size or font, as long
as it is legible.
Whats
the difference between Non-Automation and Automation
mail?
The difference lies
in postal savings. It comes down to how your piece
is designed, your data is prepared, and your mail
is processed.

Whats
the most my mail piece can weigh for Standard mail?
Standard mail (profit
and non-profit) size and weight requirements are
identical. If your piece is below 3.3 ounces, you
will only be charged by the piece. If your piece
is over 3.3 ounces, but under 16 ounces, youll
be charged by the piece and by the pound.

How many extras
should I send so you dont run out of my materials?
To avoid extra delays
in your job as well as additional set-up fees,
we ask that you send a minimum of 5 to 10% of extra
materials. This helps to give us ample supply in
case of printer shortages or machine damage.
